One week ago, long-time KUTV evening news anchor, Shauna Lake, was arrested on suspicion of Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Today she issued an on-air apology, one of the best I have ever witnessed in my 30+ years as a communications professional. Here it is:

For any other Public Figures or Elected Official who find themselves in hot water, I highly recommend watching and learning everything you can from this excellent example of a contrite, forthright and straightforward public apology.
